Install Microsoft's .NET Framework, Version 4.5 with latest updates. This is available from Microsofts website or from Databound upon request
To enable EMUE to send email notifications, it will be necessary to either:
oVerify that the SMTP service is running on the EMUE PC. Please see Microsoft Windows documentation for installation and configuration instructions.
oVerify that an SMTP (standard internet mail) server is available for relaying email messages that are created by EMUE.
Install EMUE by running the EMUE setup file provided by Databound.
oAll defaults should be accepted during the EMUE installation in most cases.
Right click on the EMUE.exe application file and choose Run As Administrator. This will allow EMUE to update the EMUELicense.lic file. Without administrator privileges EMUE cannot update the .lic file and will result in a failed activation. You will only need to do this once.
Run EMUE, and follow the prompts for the on-line activation process.  An Internet connection is needed during this process.  If access to the Internet is not available please contact Databound for instructions on how to complete this process.
EMUE will prompt for Dashboard registration if the machine has not been registered. Users can opt not to register their machine.

Note: If you are Deactivating a license to use on another machine you must right-click on EMUE.exe which is located in C:\Program Files\Databound Solutions\EMUE V5 (or C:\Program Files (x86)\Databound Solutions\EMUE V5 on a 64 bit OS) and select Run As Administrator.
