Connection Configuration

EMUE uses RUMBA to connect to the mainframe or terminal application. The configuration of EMUE is similar to RUMBA and the EMUE connection configuration must be provided before any script that makes a terminal connection can run.  Before setting the EMUE connection configuration, it is suggested that a connection to the mainframe application be made using RUMBA to insure that the proper settings for EMUE can be identified.  Once the proper settings are known the following steps can be completed:

Open EMUE
On the "Tools" menu, choose Default Settings, then click "Connection"
On the "Connection Settings" tab, select the Interface Type that will be used to connect to the mainframe.
Select the tab for the Interface Type that was selected, and enter the remaining information, as identified for RUMBA.
Click the "OK" button

Note: Setting the connection information in the user interface is OK, for now, however all critical settings should be configured in the script using SetStartup commands.
